Founder & Executive Director
Layah Willis is the founder and Executive Director of City Youth Exposure. She champions kids whose limited experiences and resources keep them from realizing their dreams. Layah earned a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Education from UC Berkeley. She studied educational and economic disparities of youth living in inner-city communities and explored solutions that could close opportunity gaps and uplift new generations. Layah founded CYE to provide an innovative solution to the most common problems at-risk youth face growing up today. Layah envisions CYE being a light in children’s lives, creating positivity and possibility where little to none exist. Layah received a M.A. in Nonprofit Management from Antioch University Los Angeles and earned her credential as a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP).
